Snow load on hall roofs is reduced: First facilities can reopen
Due to the favourable weather development, the snow load on many hall roofs has been reduced. This is the result of measurements taken after the precautionary closure of the halls.
As a result, the municipal swimming pool and the indoor swimming pools in Gablenz and Am Südring will reopen on Friday. It remains to be seen whether the Bernsdorf indoor swimming pool can also be opened.
The Richard-Hartmann-Halle is now open again. The halls in the Sportforum will also reopen from midday today. The only exception to this is the indoor swimming pool, where snow loads on the roof are being checked again.
The Schloßteichhalle still has to remain closed, but will be cleared before the weekend to ensure that games can be played.
As announced, the closed school gyms will remain closed until the weekend.
