Small driving school for wheelchair drivers
Adult education course on 20 September, from 5 to 6.30 p.m. - additional bus driver training on 28 September, 4.30 p.m.
There are many people who are suddenly dependent on a wheelchair due to a new or worsening medical condition. They first have to learn how to use it - in their immediate surroundings, but even more so on the streets and squares of the city.
On Wednesday, 20 September from 5 to 6.30 p.m., the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre will be giving you lots of tips and advice on how to overcome small hurdles with a wheelchair. During exercises on a driving course, wheelchair users can get fit for the challenges they face "outside". The course takes place in the rooms of the Mobile Disability Centre, Max-Schäller-Straße 3. Admission is free.
In addition to the course, participants can also attend a bus driver training course (including getting on and off the bus) on Thursday, 28 September at 4.30 pm. This will take place in co-operation with CVAG at the Adelsberg depot. Further information will be announced in the VHS course.
The event is a co-operation between the Mobile Disability Aid of the Chemnitz City Mission and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre.
