Skilled labour exchange: Companies can register

Business division organises labour fair at the wine festival

From 8 to 11 August, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., a skilled labour exchange will take place on Jakobikirchplatz as part of the wine festival in Chemnitz city centre, organised by the City of Chemnitz's business division together with the Chemnitz City Initiative. Interested companies can register at www.chemnitz.de/fachkraefteboersen until 1 June.

The aim is to make Chemnitz companies more visible in the city and to give them an opportunity to look for skilled workers and employees for their vacant positions or to offer training opportunities in a relaxed atmosphere. This is the first time that such a skilled labour exchange has been held at the Chemnitz Wine Festival.

The project builds on the success of the Coming Home Skilled Labour Exchange at the end of December 2023 at the Erzgebirgsdorf. For the first time, the Christmas market was extended to the days between Christmas and New Year's Eve and met with a great response from both the twelve participating companies and the visitors with the skilled labour exchange taking place there.

The Christmas market will therefore be extended again this year from 27 to 30 December 2024. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day, returnees and those wishing to return can find out about job offers from the participating Chemnitz companies and enjoy the flair of the Christmas market at the same time. Interested companies can already register at www.chemnitz.de/fachkraefteboersen.

This measure is co-financed by tax funds on the basis of the budget approved by the members of the Saxon state parliament.
