Skilled labour consultation - digital!
Competent and personalised help for students researching literature for their dissertation - from 9 June via video conference
From 9 June, the research paper consultation hour for students will take place via video conference on Tuesdays between 3 and 6 pm. In the past few weeks, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it has only been possible to get help with finding sources for your research paper by email and telephone.
In the video conference, the Chemnitz City Library staff can now once again provide personal assistance in the search for suitable sources, explain how to search library catalogues and online databases and provide help for self-help - all tailored to the topic of the respective research paper.
Technically, participation is possible with any device that has a camera, microphone and speakers or headphones. The installation of software or apps is not necessary. A browser is all you need. However, in order to be able to see everything clearly during screen sharing, we recommend using a PC, laptop or tablet with a sufficiently large screen.
A library card is required to use the service (free of charge for young people up to the age of 18) and an appointment must be made in advance. You can easily register by giving your name, user number and the subject of your research paper by calling 0371 488-4222 or sending an e-mail to facharbeit@stadtbibliothek-chemnitz.de.
