"Shaping the future!" Chemnitz Environmental Award 2018
Children and young people can now apply with projects
The City of Chemnitz will be awarding the next environmental prize for children and young people in June 2018. The Environment Agency is now calling on all children and young people to get involved in topics that will help shape their future and keep our environment liveable in the future. Children and young people can acquire knowledge and develop their creativity and initiative. The environmental prize is awarded annually on the occasion of "Environment Day".
Children and young people up to the age of 20 can take part. Projects can be submitted by both individuals and groups (e.g. day-care centres, school classes, study groups). Attractive prizes are up for grabs. The closing date for submissions is 16 April 2018 and entries will be accepted at the Environmental Agency. Information on the conditions can be found at www.chemnitz.de/umweltpreis
The projects must include the name and age of each project member as well as a contact person with an address, telephone number and/or email address for questions.
Over the past 26 years, countless participants have actively contributed to the protection and shaping of our environment with creativity, skill and perseverance in researching and tinkering with many interesting projects or with practical work on a wide variety of objects and in nature.
The Chemnitz Environmental Award is supported by the utility company eins energie, Südsachsen Wasser GmbH and the waste disposal and city cleaning company of the city of Chemnitz (ASR).
