Settle wild bees

On Thursday, 4 February 2021, 5 pm to 7.15 pm, the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre invites you to an online lecture on the sensible protection of insects in your own garden. Special attention will be paid to wild bees and their habitats. Participation is free of charge. Anyone interested can register by 3 p.m. on 4 February at www.vhs-chemnitz.de or 0371 488 4343 and will then receive an access link by email.
Honey bees and wild bees are close to many people's hearts. They are looking for concrete measures to protect them. This is because not only intensive agriculture, but also changing environmental conditions have contributed to the dwindling habitats of wild bees in recent years.
Balcony lovers and garden enthusiasts can take action. The lecture shows practical solutions on how to build suitable accommodation for bees using the simplest of means, in which the animals feel at home. Valuable tips and advice on protecting wild bees will also be provided. An experienced hobby gardener will be on hand to answer questions on how to make your own garden bee-friendly.
