Service number 115 - Mobility campaign

Information on services relating to vehicle maintenance

Whether you need to deregister or re-register your vehicle, get a new number plate, lose your vehicle registration document or exchange your driving licence, the 115 number can help in almost all cases. As the first point of contact for all official matters, citizens can get answers to their questions quickly and reliably.

In Saxony, the cities of Leipzig and Chemnitz operate their own municipal service centres. For the districts of Bautzen, Görlitz, Mittelsachsen, Zwickau, the Erzgebirgskreis and the Vogtlandkreis, this service is provided by the service centre of the city of Chemnitz. Since last year, 115 has been available throughout the Free State of Bavaria and almost all of Germany.

Citizens whose local authorities and districts have not yet joined the 115 network can obtain information on federal and state services. The 115 can be reached worldwide using the country dialling code.

Nationwide, over 550 municipalities, 12 federal states and the entire federal administration are currently participating in 115. All participants provide information in a joint knowledge database. 52 municipal service centres throughout Germany provide information on all levels of administration. All administrations can be reached via 115 at the same times, from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm.
