Seeing with hands and ears

Experience the everyday life of blind and visually impaired people, 23 January, 6.45 pm at Tietz

Do you have any idea how blind people "see" the world? How do they orientate themselves in everyday life without the help of others? What aids and tricks are useful? What does the clock have to do with eating?

On Thursday, 23 January, from 6.45 p.m. to 9 p.m., in the TIETZ (see VHS room advert), after a more theoretical part, you can try out small practical exercises for yourself: for example, eating a few small bites with a blindfold, counting money with your eyes closed or climbing stairs with a cane. If you are curious and want to find out more about the everyday life of blind and visually impaired people, this course offers you the opportunity to do so!

Admission is free. Registration is requested.
