Second participation phase for noise action planning
Federal Railway Authority calls for participation
The second participation phase for noise action planning on federal railway lines began today. The City of Chemnitz's environmental office has announced this.
Citizens have until 2 January 2024 to provide their feedback on the draft noise action plan and the Federal Railway Authority's participation process.

The Federal Railway Authority, not the City of Chemnitz, is responsible for any noise incidents on federal railway lines. Comments and questions can be sent by e-mail to
umgebungslaerm(at)eba.bund.de.
During the first phase in March and April 2023, around 11,000 valid participations were submitted to the Federal Railway Authority. The Federal Railway Authority evaluated these contributions and completed this evaluation with the publication of a draft noise action plan, which was published at www.laermaktionsplanung-schiene.de.
