Second overspend for youth welfare services
At its meeting today, the City Council approved a second over-budget appropriation for youth welfare totalling EUR 2,730,430. This is to cover the additional need for educational assistance.
On 30 October 2019, the City Council had already approved additional funds amounting to 3,823,620 euros. This means that a total of 39,172,128 euros is available in the 2019 youth welfare budget.
The additional requirement for both allocations is made up of three components:
- Increase in the number of cases in the area of educational assistance
- Increase in personnel costs
- Creation of new independent youth welfare services and adjustment of quality standards to meet increased requirements
