School year 2014/15: Cultural education website currently lists 120 offers from 31 cultural and educational institutions
Cultural Office invites participation and use of online offerings
Before the start of the new 2014/15 school year, the city's cultural office would like to once again draw attention to the website www.kulturelle-bildung-chemnitz.de, which was launched at the beginning of June (PM 333 from 2 June 2014) and invite further participation. The platform currently lists 120 offers from 31 cultural and educational institutions in Chemnitz, which are aimed specifically at educators but also want to involve all other citizens interested in cultural education.
There are now some permanent offers available online, some of which can be organised flexibly according to demand and need. Educators are invited to use these offers and the website to plan their lessons for the new school year. Some of the events on offer are even curriculum-based and tailored to the relevant grade levels (1st to 12th grade) of all school types. There are also programmes for toddlers and pre-school children. For example, it is possible to collaborate with artists from Chemnitz or organise a guided tour of the museum with creative activities for children. The relevant contact persons can be contacted via the website and are available to help plan an event. The website also offers opportunities for other interest groups to take advantage of cultural education. The range of offers extends from creative courses and workshops to panel discussions and exhibitions.
The Cultural Office would also be delighted if creative people themselves would like to use the website to publicise their own offers and thus become part of the network of cultural education in Chemnitz. Further information on the topic is published in the flyer accompanying the website.

The new cultural education website will also be the subject of discussion in the project room of the Chemnitzer Künstlerbund, Moritzstraße 19: Božena Schiemann will present the programme at the vernissage to mark the exhibition of artistic education projects from the last two years and the results of the 2014 summer academy.
