Monday, 17 November
Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig takes part in the press conference with the mayors before the November meeting of the City Council (PM 657 of 13 November 2014).

Mayor Barbara Ludwig attends the reception to celebrate the 70th birthday of Chemnitz building contractor and Chamber of Crafts President Dietmar Mothes and offers the city's congratulations.

Tuesday, 18 November

Pupils from Chemnitz primary schools will meet for the second of this year's three children and youth conferences (PM 640 from 4 November 2014).

Friday, 21 November
The German-language premiere of the chamber play "Hanna's Demon" by Antoine Rault, translated from French by Anette and Paul Bäcker, premieres at Chemnitz Theatre. Bogdan Koca is responsible for the direction, stage and costumes.

From 21 to 23 November, the Arena Chemnitz will be transformed into a large equestrian arena for the second time: the programme includes numerous show jumping competitions and shows with nationally and internationally renowned and successful athletes.

Saturday, 22 November

Pupils and parents are invited to visit the 5th education fair organised by the city of Chemnitz.

Seven municipal grammar schools and eleven municipal secondary schools as well as three independent schools will be providing information (PM 471 from 25 August 2014).

Premiere of "Puss in Boots", a fairy tale in verse adapted by Heinz Kahlau from the Brothers Grimm. Bianca Kriel plays the title role and Alexander Flache is responsible for the production.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig will give a welcome address at the opening of the special exhibition "ANDY WARHOL - DEATH AND DISASTER".

The Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz are showing the first museum presentation of the most important group of works by Andy Warhol (1928-1987) in Europe with numerous international loans. The exhibition, curated by Heiner Bastian, will be on display until 22 February 2015. Information: www.kunstsammlungen-chemnitz.de

Sunday, 23 November
The musical evening "Ne Me Quitte Pas", dedicated to Jacques Brel, the grand master of French chanson, has its premiere. The performers are Grégoire Gros and Susanne Stein from the Chemnitz theatre ensemble. The musical director is Tom Bitterlich, who arranged the music together with Steffan Claußner; the production is directed by theatre director Carsten Knödler.
