Mayor Barbara Ludwig gives a welcome address at the opening of the special exhibition "The Bicycle - Culture, Technology, Mobility" at the Chemnitz Industrial Museum. The exhibition is being shown in cooperation with the Museum der Arbeit Hamburg. On 600 square metres of exhibition space, over 100 bicycle icons from the last 200 years, from the historic wheel to the ultra-modern pedelec, provide an insight into technical development. The exhibition can be seen from 13 May to 29 January 2017.

The 25th Saxon Mozart Festival opens with a concert featuring works by Wolfgang Amadé Mozart and Joseph Haydn. Numerous attractive events will take place at the Saxon Mozart Festival until 29 May.
