Monday, 7 October
Mayor Barbara Ludwig chairs the regular meeting of the steering group for the development of Brühl.

Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig attends the festive event to mark the handover of the refurbished Adolf-Ferdinand-Weinhold-Bau university building at Chemnitz University of Technology. Information: www.tu-chemnitz.de

Mayor Barbara Ludwig welcomes the participants of the international conference "Salman Schocken - Archaeology of a German-Jewish Life and its Context".

Tuesday, 8 October

Mayor Barbara Ludwig will give a welcoming address at the matriculation ceremony for the 2013 matriculation class at Chemnitz University of Technology.

The university prizes will also be awarded during the festive event.

Wednesday, 9 October

Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig takes part in the meeting of the Social Democratic Community for Local Politics (SGK) Berlin.

Time and place: 11.30 a.m., Berlin.

Public meeting of the Agenda Advisory Council.

Time and place: 16:30, Kraftwerk socio-cultural centre.

Premiere of "Das Herz eines Boxers" by Lutz Hübner with Fabian Jung and Stefan Schweninger in the two leading roles. Matthias Nagatis is responsible for direction, costumes and costume design.

Thursday, 10 October

Public meeting of the Administration and Finance Committee.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig presents the future stadium on Gellertstraße together with Dr Mathias Hänel, Chairman of the CFC Board and representatives of BAM/ BAM Sports GmbH (PM 657 from 4 October 2013).

Time and place: 7 pm, stadium on Gellersstraße.

Premiere of the theatre play "HAUTNAH" by Patrick Marber.

The studio production will continue the decades-long tradition of the drama studio at Chemnitz Municipal Theatres in the 2013/14 season with the support of committed partners such as the Theatre Sponsors' Association and GGG.

Friday, 11 October

Mayor Barbara Ludwig takes part in the opening of the 23rd International Field Railway Meeting in Chemnitz from 11 to 13 October.

Time and place: 6 p.m., Chemnitz park railway, railway depot.

Saturday, 12 October

Mayor Barbara Ludwig attends the premiere of the chamber play "Sechs Tanzstunden in sechs Wochen" by Richard Alfrieri in a production by Herbert Olschok with Marko Bullack and Christine Gabsch in the roles.

Time and place: 19:30, Schauspielhaus, large stage.

Invitation to the 21st Chemnitz Jazz Festival: Leading Czech jazz soloists Milan Svoboda & Prague Big Band, the young musicians of the Jazzcombo of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School and the Big Band of Chemnitz University of Technology are expected.

Time and place: 8 pm, TIETZ building, foyer.

Sunday, 13 October

Mayor Barbara Ludwig takes part in the vehicle parade on the occasion of the 23rd International Field Railway Meeting in Chemnitz.

Time and place: 10 a.m., from the park railway.

A delegation of relatives from medical and social institutions in Chemnitz will be visiting the Chinese twin city of Taiyuan from 13 to 20 October 2013. The visit is being prepared and accompanied by the Mayor's Office of the City of Chemnitz (PM 653 from 4 October 2013).

The traditional Chemnitz Dragon Festival, which is being organised for the 16th time this year, marks the end of the 2013 outdoor swimming season at the Rabenstein reservoir.

Time and place: from 10 am, reservoir area.
