On behalf of Mayor Barbara Ludwig, Mayor Philipp Rochold will take part in the event to commemorate and remember the Jewish citizens of the city who were victims of the fascist pogrom night on 9 November 1938 or who were murdered in the following years during the fascist tyranny. The commemorative event of the City of Chemnitz will take place together with the Jewish Community.

CORRECTION: Mayor Philipp Rochold opens the special exhibition "Rock Fossils - Yes, it's love!" together with Dr Ronny Rößler, Director of the Museum of Natural History Chemnitz. Achim G. Reisdorf from the University of Basel (Switzerland), Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, will give an introduction to the exhibition and Professor Mats Eriksson from Lund University (Sweden) will give the opening lecture.
