Chemnitz celebrates Peace Day to mark the 73rd anniversary of the bombing of the city.
Mayor Barbara Ludwig commemorates the victims of the bombing of Chemnitz on 5 March 1945 and lays a wreath at the memorial.

Premiere of the film "Kinder im Krieg - Chemnitzer Erinnerungen, die ein Leben lang bleiben".
The 30-minute film produced by the City of Chemnitz captures the stories of four contemporary witnesses who experienced the Second World War and the bombing of the city in very different ways.

"Flowers from ruins" rally - women from the rubble and us war children
Performers at Neumarkt include Hartwig Albiro, Nancy Gibson, Mathis Stendike, the sign language choir Monael and Friends and the choir of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School.
