The 11th 24-hour mountain bike race "Heavy24" takes place. The race has now become a permanent fixture in the German racing calendar. With 1,261 starters and around 18,000 visitors in 2016, it was the largest mountain bike competition in eastern Germany.

It's that time again: time for great heroes, legends and exciting adventure stories in the open air. The knightly spectacle "The Red Knight" based on Wolfram von Eschenbach premieres at the summer theatre.
