Opening of the 40th International Summer Course for German Language.
The course will take place from 5 to 28 August 2013 at Chemnitz University of Technology and the supporting programme also includes a city tour of Chemnitz and excursions to the Ore Mountains.

Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig accepts the invitation to the Entrepreneurs' Café at the Chemnitz Chamber of Crafts' development camp for school pupils.

Friday, 9 August
To kick off the "Summer Academy Germany - Portugal" organised in Chemnitz as part of the EU Youth in Action programme, Pia Sachs, the city's EU coordinator, welcomes young people from Portugal and their Chemnitz project partners to a workshop in the town hall. The young people's programme also includes a tour of the town hall with the tower keeper (PM 488 from 01.08.2013).
