Tuesday, 5 March
Lord Mayor Sven Schulze lays a wreath at the memorial to the victims of the bombing of the city of Chemnitz to mark the 23rd Peace Day. The mayors also take part in the commemorative event. Peace Day will be celebrated on this day with various events, exhibitions and sporting activities.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Lord Mayor Sven Schulze delivers a greeting at the opening of the exhibition "Remembrance - Survival - Resistance - Peace" with textile art by women from all over the world on International Women's Day. Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky will also take part in the opening of the exhibition.

Saturday, 9 March
Lord Mayor Sven Schulze takes part in the master craftsmen's ceremony of the Chemnitz Chamber of Crafts and delivers a greeting.

An ice show directed by the Chemnitzer Eislauf-Club e. V. (CEC) will take place in honour of Jutta Müller, an honorary citizen of Chemnitz who passed away last year. In addition to the welcoming address by Lord Mayor Sven Schulze, Katarina Witt and Gaby Seyfert, among others, will also address personal words about Jutta Müller to the guests.
