The 8th Chemnitz Marathon will once again attract running enthusiasts to the city centre. The Lord Mayor of the twin city Düsseldorf, Thomas Geisel, will also be taking part in the half marathon.
Time and place: The starting signal for the marathon will be given at 10 a.m. at the Red Tower.
School and local history festival to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Reichenhain primary school.
Time and place: from 2 p.m., Reichenhain primary school, Genossenschaftsweg 2.
School festival for the 125th anniversary of the Obere Luisenschule primary school.
Time and place: 2 pm to 5 pm, Obere Luisenschule - Grundschule, Fritz-Matschke-Straße 23.
Opening of the exhibition "Hidden Game" with drawings and prints by Thomas Ranft. The exhibition can then be seen in the art collections from 5 July to 30 August.
