Opening of the exhibition "Pile of shimmer and shine" at Galerie Laterne with works by Finnish artist Aino Louhi. Her works created during the artist exchange project "Artist in Residence - Chemnitz-Tampere 2013" will be on display until 22 November (PM 673 from 14.10.2013).

Tuesday, 29 October
Press conference with representatives of Rödel & Partner and HR Mayor Berthold Brehm in his capacity as head of the steering group for the development of the administrative and structural concept of the City of Chemnitz. Rödel & Partner will present the results of the study.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig welcomes the representatives of the Chemnitz Park Railway to the regular annual meeting.

Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig, Chairwoman of the Zweckverband Sächsisches Industriemuseum, takes part in the opening of the special exhibition "Through night to light? History of the labour movement 1863 - 2013" and will give a welcoming address.
The exhibition was created as a cooperation project between the TECHNOSEUM Mannheim and the Saxon Industrial Museum Chemnitz to mark the 150th anniversary of the founding of the ADAV in Leipzig and will be on display until 1 May 2014, accompanied by an extensive supporting programme. Mayor Barbara Ludwig attends the festive event to mark the 20th anniversary of the Bruno Banani company and gives a welcome address.
