Schedule for the week from 28 April to 4 May 2014

Tuesday, 29 April
Mayor Barbara Ludwig invites you to her weekly press conference.
Time and place: 2 pm, Chemnitz City Hall.

Opening of the exhibition "Brave New Worlds" with paintings, drawings and graphics by Dagmar Ranft-Schinke. The retrospective to mark the 70th birthday of the renowned Chemnitz artist will be on display at the Neue Sächsische Galerie until 29 June.

Wednesday, 30 April

Public meeting of the Chemnitz City Council.

Time and place: 3 pm, Chemnitz City Hall, City Council Chamber.

Saturday, 3 May

The 20th Europe Week will take place in Chemnitz from 3 to 11 May 2014. The diverse programme of information and events around 9 May will commemorate the founding of the union of states (PM 223 from 24.04.2014).

Invitation to the 15th Chemnitz Museum Night with exhibitions, offers and activities at 29 locations. (PM 222 from 24.04.2014).

The musical "Funny Girl", which premiered in 1964 and was made into a film in 1968, will have its premiere in a production by Stefan Huber. Katharine Mehrling and Frederike Haas alternate in the title role on stage in Chemnitz. Tom Bitterlich is the musical director.
