Schedule for the week from 26 May to 1 June 2014

Monday, 26 May
Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig chairs the meeting of the Board of Directors of Sparkasse Chemnitz.
Time and place: 3 p.m., Sparkasse Chemnitz, Bahnhofstraße.

Award for AWO fan project: The quality seal "Fan project according to the national concept of sport and safety" is awarded by the nationwide coordination centre for fan projects at the advisory board meeting of the Chemnitz fan project. The City of Chemnitz will be represented by Mayor Philipp Rochold.

Time and place: 5 p.m., Chemnitz City Hall, Grüner Salon.

Note for media: Following the meeting, there will be a press conference at 7 pm.

Wednesday, 28 May

Public meeting of the City Election Committee to determine and establish the final results of the elections to the European Parliament, the City Council elections and the local council elections on 25 May 2014 in Chemnitz (PM 309 from 23.05.2014).

Time and place: 10 a.m., Chemnitz City Hall, Consultation Room 118.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig chairs the Supervisory Board meeting of TechnoPark Chemnitz GmbH.

Time and place: 4 p.m., Technology Campus 1, 09126 Chemnitz.

Saturday, 31 May

Premiere of the event series "Rock am Kopp": The concert series takes place as part of the "The city is me" communication campaign. Once a month during the summer, a band or artist will perform on a small stage in front of a large backdrop and inspire the Chemnitz audience (PM308 from 23 May 2014).

Time and place: 18:30, Marx Monument, Brückenstraße.

Sunday, 1 June

Chemnitz Bike Day 2014: The traditional family bike tour starts at the Wall in the city centre and covers a circular route of 24 km - the family route over 9 km - to the Vita-Center, traditionally the destination of the bike tour. A large family festival will take place here from 10.45 am. Note for the media: You will receive a separate press release about this.

Time and place: Start 10 a.m., at the Wall.

Children's festival on the Küchwaldwiese: Mayor Philipp Rochold visits the 18th children's festival organised by the Kraftwerk association on the occasion of International Children's Day.

The patron of the children's festival is the Mayor of Chemnitz, Barbara Ludwig.

Time and place: 3 pm, Küchwald.
