Lord Mayor Sven Schulze gives a welcoming speech at the unveiling of the artwork "Oben Mit" (or: "A monument to the good spirits of my homeland") by artist Osmar Osten at the PURPLE PATH, the art and sculpture trail of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025. Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky will also take part.

Lord Mayor Sven Schulze will give a welcome address at the closing ceremony of the Great Mountain Parade with around 1,000 participants, who will parade through Chemnitz city centre beforehand (start at 2 pm).

Lord Mayor Sven Schulze takes part in the ecumenical opening service of the Kulturkirche2025 and delivers a greeting. This is the first item on the programme of the Kulturkirche2025 for the European Capital of Culture year.
