Monday, 25 November
Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig accepts the invitation of the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Germany, Dr Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh,, to a working lunch.
Time and place: 1 p.m., Berlin.

Invitation to the second edition of the Dream Concert, organised by musicians with and without disabilities. The project, supported by the state of Saxony and numerous Chemnitz sponsors, was initiated by the City of Chemnitz's Disability Officer together with the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra's Municipal Music School (PM 734 from 12 November 2013).

Tuesday, 26 November

Friday, 28 November

Mayor Barbara Ludwig takes part in the association meeting of the Central Saxony Transport Association (ZVMS).

Mayor Barbara Ludwig will open the Chemnitz Christmas market with the cutting of the large Christmas stollen together with the baker Stefan Weber and Father Christmas (PM 739 from 13 November 2013).

Time and place: 4 pm, Christmas market stage.

Sporting events in the Chemnitz Arena: Invitations are extended to the 11th edition of the "Einsiedler

Supercross" with two race days on 29 and 30 November.

Time and place: from 6 p.m. each day, Messe Chemnitz/Chemnitz Areana.

Saturday, 30 November

Invitation to visit the 35thedition of the "Days of Erzgebirge Folklore": Under the motto "Advent in the Erzgebirge", both days of the event (30 November and 1 December) will feature presentations of traditional and modern folklore.), the programme includes presentations of traditional and modern arts and crafts with around 60 exhibitors from the region, festive folkloric music and dance performances and a Secret Santa workshop for the youngest visitors.

Time and place: 10 am to 6 pm, Stadthalle Chemnitz, Foyer, Small and Large Halls.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig welcomes the participants of the Great Mining Parade, traditionally organised in Chemnitz on the eve of the 1st Advent. This year marks the 35th time that the mountain parade has been held in Chemnitz.

Time and place: 2 p.m., Park an der Stadthalle.

Premiere of Mozart's "Don Giovanni" in a production by Michael Heinicke and with Andreas Scheibner in the title role. The musical director of the performance is Felix Bender, Peter Sykora is responsible for the stage and costumes.

Time and place: 19:30, Chemnitz Opera.

Sunday, 1 December

This year's Christmas exhibition opens at the Schloßbergmuseum Chemnitz: Historical toys from the first quarter of the 20th century from the museum's own collections will be on display under the motto "Railway meets doll's house".

A Christmas Story" - a ballet for young and old by Reiner Feistel, who is also responsible for the choreography and staging, based on Charles Dickens. Information: www.theater-chemnitz.de
