Monday, 21 July
The Lord Mayor's annual budget retreat with the mayors takes place on Monday and Tuesday.

Wednesday, 23 July

The 555th car sharing vehicle from the central German provider teilAuto is driven to its station at Getreidemarkt in Chemnitz.

The Mayor of Chemnitz, Petra Wesseler, will be attending the event on behalf of the City of Chemnitz.

Time and place: 1 p.m., Getreidemarkt.

Building Mayor Petra Wesseler welcomes citizens of the district to the citizens' forum on the prospects for urban development on the northern Sonnenberg. The event is being organised by the City of Chemnitz building department together with the planning company urban management systems GmbH, Leipzig (PM 410 from 16.07.2014).

Time and place: 6 p.m., Philippstraße 20 building.

Friday, 25 July

Concert by the Summer Philharmonic Orchestra in Lodz, Chemnitz's Polish twin city. The guest performance, supported by the City of Chemnitz, is organised by the Saxon Mozart Society as part of the Summer Workshop programme (PM 409 from 16.07.2014).

Mayor Barbara Ludwig opens the 25th Chemnitz Wine Village together with the Saxon Wine Queen Katharina Lai and Türmer Stefan Weber. Visitors are invited until 10 August.

Saturday, 26 July

Opening of the exhibition "Joseph Beuys - Drawings/Drawings", on show at the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz until 21 September. The exhibition was organised in cooperation between Galerie Bastian in Berlin, the Louisiana Museum in Humlebaek, Denmark, and the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz.
