Monday, 21 January

Wednesday, 23 January
Public meeting of the school committee.

Public meeting of the Agenda Advisory Board.

Meeting between Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig and representatives of the Chemnitz-Süd and Chemnitz Mitte-West citizens' platforms.

Thursday, 24 January
Public meeting of the Administration and Finance Committee.

Friday, 25 January
Invitation to the traditional Kunsthüttenfest: The programme includes music, bread and wine, an artist talk with Hubertus Giebe in his current exhibition and the presentation of the 2013 annual editions. Admission is free.
Time and place: 7 pm, Haus TIETZ, Neue Sächsische Galerie.

Saturday, 26 January
22nd regional competition "Jugend musiziert" - the competition auditions for young soloists and ensembles will take place in Chemnitz, Flöha and Stollberg (PM 19 from 14 January 2013).
Time and place: from 9 a.m. in each of the three venues.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig visits the indoor football tournament "One-Oldie-Masters - the football show of legends". Football star Michael Ballack is one of the prominent international athletes taking part in the international tournament. A Bundesliga selection with numerous ex-professionals completes the attractive field of participants.

Sunday, 27 January
Mayor Barbara Ludwig invites the people of Chemnitz to take part in the city's commemorative event to mark the 68th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp.
Following the wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial in the Park of the Victims of Fascism, there will also be a public panel discussion at the Georgius Agricola Gymnasium, in which Mayor Barbara Ludwig, Siegmund Rotstein, Justin Sonder and Thiemo Kirmse will take part (PM 25 from 17 January 2013).
Time and place: 10 a.m., Memorial in the Park of the Victims of Fascism and from 10.30 a.m., Georgius-Agricola-Gymnasium auditorium.
