Public meeting of the Foreigners' Advisory Council of the City of Chemnitz.

Time and place: 6 p.m., Volunteer Centre, Reitbahnstraße 23, 09111 Chemnitz.

The communication campaign "The city is me" is the subject of a public event for citizens and associations: Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig presents the entire campaign and the planned activities together with the managing directors of the Chemnitz advertising agency Zebra Joerg G. Fieback and Ralf Sippel (PM 270 from 13 May 2014).

Wednesday, 21 May

Last public meeting of Chemnitz City Council in the current legislative period.

Opening of a new special exhibition at the Gunzenhauser Museum: Paintings by Fred Thieler (1916-1999) are on display. The exhibition was organised in collaboration with the MKM Museum Küppersmühle für Moderne Kunst Duisburg. Mayor Philipp Rochold will give a welcoming address on behalf of the City of Chemnitz.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig attends the celebratory concert to mark the 175th anniversary of the Männerchor Rottluff 1839 e. V. and gives a welcome address.

World premiere of "The Heirs of Galileo" by Martin Bauch, winner of the Chemnitz Theatre Prize for Young Drama 2013/2014. Silke Johanna Fischer is responsible for the production and the design of the stage and costumes.

Time and place: 8 pm, Schauspielhaus, East Wing.
