Funeral service for Addi Jacobi from Chemnitz. The well-known journalist and author died on 17 October 2013 at the age of 77.
Time and place: 1.30 pm, Chemnitz Crematorium, Reichenhainer Straße.
Sporting highlight in the Chemnitz Arena: Chemnitz will host the "Grand Prix of Saxony" equestrian and show jumping tournament for the first time from 22 to 24 November. Participants from all over Germany are expected to take part in the tournament.

Opening of the special exhibition "Imi Knoebel - Fenster für die Kathedrale von Reims" at the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz in the presence of the artist. Emmanuel Suard, Counsellor of the French Embassy in Berlin and Director of the Institut FrançaisDeutschland, will give a welcoming address. Prof Robert Fleck, Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, will introduce the exhibition.

Concert evening by the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra with vocal soloists: the oratorio "The Last Things" by Louis Spohr (1784-1859) will be performed.
