The traditional preparatory tournament of the CFC blind footballers with international participation sets the mood for the upcoming Bundesliga season. The CFC has invited FC St. Pauli, the Würzburg/1860 Munich team and teams from Budapest and Brno.

This year, the Große Gussgrundschanze in Grüna is celebrating its 60th anniversary. To mark the occasion, WSV Grüna is organising a special ski jumping competition on the anniversary hill.

The 3rd Chemnitz Reading Night - the reading festival for the whole family: authors, literary associations, magazines, publishers, booksellers and antiquarian booksellers from the city present themselves with a book market. There is also a varied literary programme.
