Wednesday, 17 July
Young people from various European countries take part in the European Summer Philharmonic 2013 in Chemnitz, an EU project organised by the Saxon Mozart Society. The young musicians' programme also includes a visit to the town hall; the guests will be welcomed by Pia Sachs, the city's EU representative.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig attends the concert of the European Summer Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Swedish conductor Kajsa Boström. The evening will be organised by choirs from Chemnitz's twin cities Łódź and Usti nad Labem as well as musicians from various European countries. The soloist will be Korean soprano Guibee Yang, a member of the Chemnitz Opera ensemble.
The Chemnitz Classic Night is organised by the Chemnitz Film Nights.
