The topic will be the events prepared jointly by the city, initiatives, associations, chambers, churches and other partners to mark the Chemnitz Peace Day on 5 March 2014.

Wednesday, 12 February
Public meeting of Chemnitz City Council.
Time and place: 3 p.m., Chemnitz City Hall, City Council Chamber.

The 6th symphony concert of the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by Felix Bender and is entitled "Symphonic Klezmer - Works for Klezmer Band and Symphony Orchestra".

Mayor Barbara Ludwig attends an event organised by the Chemnitz Industrial Association.

Friday, 14 February
Deutsche Bahn Netz AG provides information on planned railway construction projects at the so-called "Chemnitzer Bahnbogen" (PM 61 from 5 February 2014).
The City of Chemnitz will be represented at the public information event by Mayor Petra Wesseler and Civil Engineering Office Manager Bernd Gregorzyk.

Saturday, 15 February
Premiere of the detective comedy "Schnüffler, Sex und schöne Frauen" by Tony Dunham in the German version by Jan Bergrath. Manfred Blank is responsible for staging the performance for puppet theatre and Atif Hussein for the set design. Information: www.theater-chemnitz.de
