City Treasurer Berthold Brehm will be visiting the Finnish twin city of Tampere from 3 to 6 December 2014 together with a delegation from the Saxon Industrial Museum Chemnitz (PM 690 from 28.11.2014).
Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig accepted the invitation of Prof Dr Hans J. Naumann, Managing Partner of Niles-Simmons Industrieanlagen GmbH, to a book presentation by the company: "From Escher to NILES-SIMMONS" is dedicated to the 140th anniversary of lathe manufacturing and is published by Verlag Heimatland Sachsen.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig welcomes the "Makers of the Week" portrayed in the city's marketing campaign "The city is me" to a reception in the town hall.

The unique gymnastics show "Gymmotion - The Fascination of Gymnastics" is once again coming to Chemnitz this year. World-class artists, unique performers, entertainers, musicians and performance acrobats will perform under the motto "Human Circus".

The Chemnitz Ice Skating Club presents "Fairytale Days on Ice" this year with "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". The four events are on the programme on Thursday and Friday, with the two morning performances reserved for daycare groups and school classes.
