"Save Mortimer" - puppet theatre play for young researchers
On Friday, 8 October at 4 p.m., the City of Chemnitz Environmental Agency and the Chemnitz Museum of Natural History will present the play "Save Mortimer" for young explorers, performed by Urania - Wissen macht Theater, in the TIETZ event hall.
The Chemnitz Nature Explorers Working Group of the Environmental Agency and the Naturalists Working Group of the Chemnitz Museum of Natural History as well as the co-operative kindergarten "Schloßteichzwerge" are invited.
Representatives of the media are also cordially invited.
The science theatre "Urania" is a mobile puppet stage that offers children insights into knowledge and science with the help of hand puppetry and funny stories.
The bee play "Save Mortimer!" uses a short detective story to explain the role of the industrious honey collectors in our ecosystem and how humans influence it in the usual child-friendly way.
During the summer holiday programme, the Chemnitz Young Nature Guards focused on "Bees, wild bees and insects". The topic was also taken into account in the Chemnitz Young Nature Guards' co-operative kindergarten "Schloßteichzwerge".
At the Museum of Natural History, the diversity of the insect world is a firmly established programme of events and is also in great demand among young researchers.
The Naturalists' Working Group at the Museum of Natural History and the Young Nature Guards Chemnitz have been working together since this year and would like to network the participants in the working groups in the future. In this way, the children and young people can exchange ideas in a larger group and enrich each other with their expertise.
