Sale of space in the Rottluff-West industrial estate
The city council today approved the sale of two plots of land in the Rottluff-West industrial estate. The purchase price for the approximately 1.1 hectare site is around 323,000 euros.
Schäfers Backstube GmbH, a company with 20 branches and one of the oldest craft businesses still in production in Chemnitz-Rabenstein, will build a production hall for baked goods, including office and social areas, on the site. Further development at the previous location was no longer possible.
The Rottluff-West industrial estate is located in the immediate vicinity of the Chemnitz-Rottluff motorway junction. It covers a total of 7.6 hectares, of which 2.7 hectares are still unoccupied, including the area sold today.
