Roadworks on Stöcklstraße and Kirchsteig require short-term full closures on two days
Traffic authority asks for attention for closures on 3 and 4 July, from 17:30 to 20:30 in each case
Due to urgent roadworks, Stöcklstraße and Kirchsteig between Klaffenbacher Straße and Feudelstraße will be completely closed on Wednesday, 3 July and Thursday, 4 July from 17:30 to 20:30.
Residents and all other road users are asked to understand and observe the temporary restrictions.
The reason for the three-hour road closures is necessary roadworks on site. Asphalt work will be carried out across the entire width of the road. The Chemnitz-based company Gunter Hüttner & Co. GmbH has been commissioned to carry out the work. The roadworks will fulfil the requirements of the emergency services, in particular the fire brigade, with regard to an appropriate diversion route on site. The diversion has become necessary due to the full closure of Feudelstraße in the area of the landslide.
Residents in the area of Stöcklstraße, Kirchsteig, Elsternwinkel, Rehwiesenstraße and Feudelstraße as well as all other road users are asked to prepare for the temporary full closure on the two evenings in good time, as vehicles will not be able to pass through during this time. Pedestrian traffic will be possible with restrictions. Access for emergency vehicles will of course also be ensured during the construction work on site.
Residents in the above-mentioned areas who are dependent on their cars on 3 and 4 July between 17:30 and 20:30 should park their vehicles on the city side of Feudelstraße, which is fully closed to traffic due to the landslide.
