From Monday 6 October to Saturday 18 October, Wolgograder Allee will be closed between Johannes-Dick-Straße and Marie-Tilch-Straße. The reason for this is the renovation of the asphalt surface. The road will be closed to private traffic throughout, the diversion will be via Stollberger Straße - Wladimir-Sagorski-Straße - Südring. However, CVAG buses, local residents and emergency vehicles will be able to pass through during this period, with a few exceptions.
BS-UNI-Bau GmbH from Chemnitz is in charge of the refurbishment work and the laying of the new asphalt concrete on behalf of the City of Chemnitz Transport and Civil Engineering Department. At the same time, the traffic areas at the "Marie-Tilch-Straße" and "Johannes-Dick-Straße" bus stops will be repaired. To ensure that the work is completed in time for the start of school after the autumn holidays, the employees of the municipal building yard are supporting the construction company by adjusting the height of the surface drainage systems and partially constructing new road inlets.
On Tuesday, 7 October, the road surface will be milled off across its entire width, which will lead to temporary full road closures. Until the asphalt is laid on 13 October, only local traffic will be allowed to drive on the milled road.
The asphalt surface course will be laid from Monday 13 October. This will be realised in three sections. Firstly, the asphalt will be laid in section 1 between the junction with Johannes-Dick-Straße and house number 76. Section 2 from house number 76 to house number 186 will follow on Tuesday, 14 October and the third section between house number 186 and Marie-Tilch-Straße on Wednesday, 15 October. Weather-related delays may be possible. Residents should therefore pay close attention to the diversion signs.
Due to the full closure, CVAG buses will not be running on Tuesday, 7 October or from Monday, 13 October to Wednesday, 15 October. During this period, public transport users are requested to change to tram lines 4 and 5.
