Road surface being renewed on Bornaer Straße
On Monday, 10 November, the civil engineering department will begin a construction project to renew the road surface on Bornaer Straße in the section between Leipziger Straße and Am Rosenhag. The work - milling the surface and binder courses and laying the new asphalt layers - is due to be completed on Friday, 14 November.
The city is investing around 25,000 euros in the carriageway renewal. Faber Bau GmbH has been commissioned with the realisation of the construction project.
Note from the traffic authority: Road users please note that Bornaer Straße must be fully closed in the construction area. Diversions are signposted. Due to the restricted height of the bridge, only public buses will be diverted via Wittgensdorfer Straße. The main diversion for lorries is via Blankenburgstraße, Schönherrstraße, Nordstraße, Müllerstraße, Schloßteichstraße, Bergstraße and Hartmannstraße.
