Road construction at the Zwickauer Straße/ Guerickestraße/ Jaenickestraße junction requires extensive traffic restrictions
Traffic authority asks for special attention here from 10 to 14 July
The road surface at the intersection of Zwickauer Straße / Guerickestraße / Jaenickestraße will be renewed from Wednesday, 10 July to Sunday, 14 July. For the realisation of the construction work and to ensure the quality of the road surface, it is necessary that Guerickestraße and Jaenickestraße are closed off from the junction area, i.e. they cannot be driven on during the construction work.
The company HSE Bau GmbH has been commissioned to carry out the work. The contract is worth €27,500.
Information from the traffic authority: Residents and all other road users travelling through the area are asked to understand and observe the necessary restrictions:
The residential area in the area of Guerickestraße and Jaenickestraße can only be reached by vehicle via Waldenburger Straße and Harthweg during the construction work. The one-way traffic regulation on Harthweg will be cancelled for the entire period.
As the road surface will be milled off on Wednesday (10 July) and Thursday (11 July), access from Zwickauer Straße to Guerickestraße will still be possible with restrictions on these two days.
Jaenickestraße will be completely closed to road traffic for the entire duration of the construction work. A diversion, also for vehicles over 3.50 tonnes, will be set up and signposted.
During the construction work, traffic on Zwickauer Straße itself will be regulated by traffic lights on both sides of the road.
No construction work is planned in the footpath area, but pedestrians are also asked to pay attention and will be guided safely across the road by traffic lights in front of and behind the construction area.
