Road closures for the 12th Chemnitz City Run on 10 May
On Sunday, 10 May, Laufszene Events GmbH is organising the 12th Chemnitz City Run. The organiser is expecting up to 3,000 participants and is hoping for a corresponding number of visitors.
The Brückenstraße between Straße der Nationen and Mühlenstraße will be closed on 10 May from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. due to the set-up and dismantling work. The following additional closures will be necessary to secure the running route:
- Georgstraße between Mühlenstraße and Promenadenstraße from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Mühlenstraße between Stadtbad and Georgstraße from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Promenadenstraße near the Schlossteich crossing area from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Resident traffic on Mühlenstraße will be guaranteed.
Police officers will be deployed by the Chemnitz Police Headquarters at traffic hotspots.
Visitors and residents of the city centre should follow the traffic signs with traffic jams and diversion recommendations.
It is also recommended to approach the city centre from the north via Reichsstraße, Zwickauer Straße and Bahnhofstraße and to use public transport.
