Road and bridge renovation on Neefestraße
From 27 July to 13 September 2015, an approx. 80 m long section of the citybound carriageway of Neefestraße after the entrance from Neefepark will be closed for construction work. Traffic will be routed via the landward carriageway.
During the closure period, only one lane is available in each direction in this area, so traffic jams are to be expected. The area should be avoided if possible. Congestion warning signs will be erected on the A 4, A 72, Südring and Neefestraße motorways.
Two construction measures will be carried out during the closure period: Firstly, a carriageway repair (costs 20,000 euros) and, from 3 August, the repair of the Neefestraße bridge over the footpath and cycle path / heating line, southern section (costs 350,000 euros).
The carriageway refurbishment includes the right-hand lane towards the city centre between the Neefepark exit and the bridge, which is approx. 45 m long. The asphalt superstructure will be renewed in order to eliminate the existing damage to the carriageway and thus the risk of accidents.
The bridge will be repaired following the carriageway repair work in the carriageway area from 3 August 2015 to 13 September 2015 (without traffic restrictions until 18 September 2015).
