Ringing of the young white storks in Wittgensdorf
Young Nature Guards Chemnitz invite you: 10 June, 3 p.m., meeting point car park at the church in Wittgensdorf
On Friday, 10 June, from 3 pm, the Chemnitz Young Nature Guards invite interested children and young people to observe the white stork representative Kai Schaarschmidt ringing the young storks in Wittgensdorf. The meeting point is the car park at Wittgensdorf church.
Anyone interested in storks can find out about the current situation of the young storks directly on site. The two project leaders of the Chemnitz Young Nature Guards will be on site with the Chemnitz Nature Explorers working group and will provide interesting information about the storks and the necessity of ringing them.
Binoculars will be provided for observation. Afterwards, participants will be able to ask questions directly to the white stork representative and watch clips from the helmet camera.
The Chemnitz Nature Discovery Group is part of the Saxony-wide "Young Nature Guards" project and aims to recruit young people in the field of nature conservation. Children aged six to 18 who are interested in nature can take part in the weekly meetings at the Chemnitz Nature Conservation Centre, Adelsbergstraße 192, free of charge.
