"Ring yourself in..." - Programme presentation for the 5th German Music Festival

For four days in May 2013, the German Music Festival will transform Chemnitz into the music capital of Germany. Musicians from all over Germany have announced their attendance, including many renowned orchestras and musicians. Chemnitz artists and clubs will showcase the diversity of the regional scene. And renowned musicians from Chemnitz's twin cities have confirmed their attendance.
The programme for the 5th German Music Festival will be presented at a press conference on 27 February. All media representatives are cordially invited to attend at 10.30 a.m. in the Town Hall, Room 118. Mayor Barbara Ludwig will present the four-day programme together with the organisers, represented by Michael Weber, 1st Vice President of the BDMV (Bundesvereinigung Deutscher Musikverbände e.V.), Harald Eßig, Managing Director of the BDMV and Federal Music Director Heiko Schulze. Other supporters and partners will also be on site.
The five-part poster series, which will draw attention to the German Music Festival from the end of February, will be presented to the public for the first time at the press conference.
The 5th German Music Festival will take place in Chemnitz from 9 to 12 May 2013. The largest German music festival is expected to attract 15,000 musicians and an estimated 150,000 visitors from all over Germany and its neighbouring countries. Federal President Joachim Gauck has assumed patronage of the event. The musical ambassador is star trumpeter Ludwig Güttler.
