Rice, rickshaws, circular knitting machines - travelling through Bangladesh

On Monday, 29 April, from 7 to 8.30 pm, two travellers will report on their experiences in Bangladesh in a picture lecture. The lecture will take place at the adult education centre in the TIETZ, course room 4.07. Admission is free.

Bangladesh is a country that most people think of when they think of poverty, floods and collapsing textile factories. Anyone travelling there quickly realises that Bangladesh is much more. The impressions range from traffic chaos in the metropolis of Dhaka to beach holidays and cycling tours through tea plantations.

There are reports of a meeting with the Minister of Economic Affairs, encounters with street children and activists who proudly claim that Bangladeshis are the nicest people in the world.

This event is a co-operation between FAIREwelt Chemnitz and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre.
