Revitalisation of urban wasteland
At its meeting today, the city council approved the revitalisation of urban brownfield sites in the "Sustainable Urban Development ERDF 2014 to 2020" programme and the "Brownfield Revitalisation Guideline" state brownfield programme.
The urban development measure totalling around 1,710,000 euros covers twelve buildings in Chemnitz. The refurbishments are scheduled to take place over the next four years.
The refurbishments are subject to the approval of the funding by the Free State, the provision of the municipal own contribution to the funding in the budget or in the medium-term financial planning and the support of the owners for implementation.
