Resurfacing of Dresdner Straße between Gellertstraße and the Sachsen-Allee access road begins on Monday (22 October)

Work begins on Dresdner Straße on behalf of the city's civil engineering department for a further carriageway renovation: The carriageway will be renewed in the area between Gellertstraße and the junction of the Sachsen-Allee access road. Construction work will start on Monday, 22 October. The work will be completed by 2 November.

The company Asphalt-Bau Chemnitz Bernsdorf Tief- und Straßenbau GmbH has been commissioned to carry out the work to renew the carriageway surface in this area. The work will be realised within the framework of the time contract concluded between the City of Chemnitz and the construction company. The construction costs amount to approx. 25,000 euros.

Note from the traffic authority: Road users are asked to be prepared for the temporary restrictions in the construction site area. However, with the help of a mobile traffic light system, the traffic authority has ensured that all necessary driving options for road users are also secured during the construction period. This means that access to and from the Sachsen-Allee shopping centre is also possible during the construction work.

Pedestrians can also use the temporary traffic lights to cross the road safely.
