Resurfacing of Dresdner Straße between Fürstenstraße and Lessingstraße
Construction project of the civil engineering office begins on Monday (30 June) - Information from the traffic authority on traffic heading towards the city and diversion towards the countryside
Work to renew the road surface on Dresdner Straße between Fürstenstraße and Lessingstraße will begin on Monday (30 June). The civil engineering department plans to complete the work by the end of July 2014. During the renewal of Dresdner Straße in the area between Fürstenstraße and Lessingstraße, the asphalt binder and surface course will be milled off and replaced with a binder and surface course.
Around 132,000 euros will be invested in the overall project. The Chemnitz-based company Gunter Hüttner + Co. GmbH was commissioned to carry out the work.
Information from the traffic authorities: Road users are requested to note that traffic on Dresdener Straße in the area of the construction site will be diverted past the construction site with one lane in the direction of the city centre. Travellers heading inland will be diverted via Fürstenstraße - Hainstraße - Lessingstraße. The traffic restrictions will come into effect at the start of construction on Monday from 9am. The traffic light programmes of the stationary traffic lights will be adapted to the changed traffic volume on the diversion route required during the construction work.
The stationary pedestrian traffic lights on Dresdner Straße in the Peterstraße area will be replaced by mobile pedestrian traffic lights during the construction work, which will ensure that pedestrians can cross safely outside the construction area.
