On Tuesday, 27 May at 11.30 a.m., representatives of the media are invited to a press conference in the press room in the town hall, Markt 1.
Mayor Michael Stötzer, Börries Butenop, Head of the Urban Planning and Property Office, as well as Linda Hüttner and Toni Kunze, representatives of the working group for the sports and culture campus, will present the results of the feasibility study.
The aim of the study was to examine whether a multifunctional hall is feasible at the site in terms of building volume, noise protection and access. Furthermore, it was assessed whether a multifunctional hall between Brückenstraße and Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße is economically viable.
Following a selection process, the study was awarded to the internationally renowned planning office AS+P Albert Speer + Partner GmbH and supported with funding from the Free State of Saxony.
