Residents' meeting for the south-east urban area

Invitation: on 10 April, 5 to 7 p.m., Einsiedel Grammar School

On Thursday, 10 April, from 5 to 7 p.m., interested Chemnitz residents from the districts of Adelsberg, Erfenschlag, Harthau, Reichenhain and the villages of Einsiedel, Euba, Klaffenbach and Kleinolbersdorf-Altenhain are invited to a residents' meeting at the Einsiedel Gymnasium, Niederwaldstraße 11.

Mayor Sven Schulze, the mayoress and the mayors will provide information in the first part about current developments and key projects, including

  • Events of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025
  • News about the Altenhain sports ground
  • Status of the Chemnitz city budget
  • School network planning and digital pact schools
  • Nature conservation and natural areas in the south-east area
  • Presentation of the new mobile library
  • "Favourite places" project and Erfenschlag play area
  • Expansion of Augustusburger Straße
  • Green spaces in the south-east assembly area
  • Capital of Culture intervention areas in the south-east area


Afterwards, from around 6 p.m., participants will be able to address their concerns to the administration and city stakeholders and enter into dialogue. In addition to representatives of the City of Chemnitz and the localities, contact persons from the waste disposal and city cleaning company, the Citizens' Platform South-East, the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH and CVAG will also be available.

The Förderverein des Gymnasiums Einsiedel offers a small snack.

Information on accessibility:

In order to make the event as accessible as possible, sign language interpreters will be present during the first part of the event. The event rooms on the ground floor of the grammar school are accessible at ground level. As usual, no registration is required for participation.

Travel information:

Gymnasium Einsiedel can be reached via the C13/C14 railway line (stop Gymnasium Einsiedel) and lines 76, 208 and 235 (stop Funkstraße). Free parking spaces are located directly next to the entrance to the grammar school. Two parking spaces for people with disabilities are also available.
