Residents' meeting for the entire city area
Invitation: on 16 November, 5 to 7 pm, in the Town Hall, City Council Chamber and other rooms, 1st and 2nd floor
On Thursday, 16 November, from 5 to 7 pm, all Chemnitz citizens are invited to a residents' meeting at the town hall, Markt 1.
Mayor Sven Schulze, the mayoress and the mayors will provide information on current developments and key projects in the first part of the meeting. Afterwards, from around 6 p.m., participants will be able to address their concerns to the administration and city stakeholders and enter into dialogue. In addition to representatives of the City of Chemnitz, contact persons from the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 GmbH, the Chemnitz transport company, the waste disposal and city cleaning company as well as representatives of citizens' platforms and community activists will be available.
In order to make the event as accessible as possible, sign language interpreters will be present during the first part. The event rooms on the first and second floors are barrier-free. As usual, no registration is required for participation.
From 3.30 pm , there will be two free guided tours of the town hall for adults and one for children. Places are limited, so registration is required. This is possible via the participation portal of the City of Chemnitz www.mitdenken.sachsen.de/1037618 or by telephone at the Mayor's office on: 0371 488 1512. The tours are barrier-free except for the tower tour (200 steps).
In May, the first of two residents' meetings for the entire city area took place this year. Following the positive response, the concept tested there will be continued and further optimised. All residents are therefore once again invited to express their wishes, suggestions and constructive criticism.
